Republic P-47M-1 Thunderbolt 421108:HV-Z bar of the 61st Fighter Squadron, 56th Fighter Group 8th Air Force based at RAF Boxted early 1945.

*UPDATE: 28/02/2021*. After long research, I've found some very fascinating comments over the internet from Witold Lanowski's son about his father's Thunderbolt so I could adjust a lot of things that were incorrect on my skin. The most important thing added to the model was the lucky horseshoe Lanowski had fixed to the fuselage close to his canopy. It was a real horseshoe, so I've added it to the normal map to give it some depth.

Col. Glen T. Eagleston, the 9th Air Force's leading ace with 18.5 kills flew P-47s and P-51Ds with the 353rd Fighter Squadron.  This livery depicts his aircraft shortly after the Normandy invasion when he was still a Major.  

Presently only compatible with the late P-47D models.
